Message from Trustees

We live in a complex world that is changing at an unprecedented pace. Tribal communities have always had more than their fair share of disadvantages. And the most vulnerable segment are tribal children who have been left far behind in the education race. Most of our district’s population comprises tribals and the dearth of education and livelihood opportunities has forced them to lead a hardscrabble existence.

The tribals speak their dialects, which are completely different from the state language. As a result, literacy rates are quite low. The tribal hamlets are located in remote terrain, which is the biggest factor preventing children from attending schools that are too far. At school, they have to deal with challenges such as cultural differences, difficulties learning in an unfamiliar language, and relating the content to their mother tongue.

Education is a process by which character is formed, the strength of mind is increased, and intellect is sharpened, as a result of which one can stand on one’s own feet. Preparing rural children to succeed in this challenging environment demands a flexible, real, and value-based approach to education. Indeed, it requires a dynamic school that can turn learning into a life-long journey of inquiry and discovery, culminating in knowledge that matters.

There are ample opportunities and exposure in big cities but the real India that lives in villages is still striving to meet its necessities. Education is one of the fundamental requirements, and unfortunately is not being given much attention in these segments.

We aim to develop and want to serve the education sector as possible. Hence, we are determined to accept this challenge with the best wishes of all.
